We serve a variety of aging needs and provide long-term independent living, short stay rehabilitation, hospice, dialysis, and more. You or a loved one can receive person-centered senior care options from our Southeastern PA campus or throughout the Greater Philadelphia community – wherever the patient calls home. We don’t only provide geriatric care services – we work with patients of all ages in our rehab programs.

Choosing the Right Senior Care Services Provider

While the senior care services provider you choose will largely depend on your need and unique situation, there are certain attributes you want to look for when making your decision. After finding a provider that offers the services you need, ask yourself the following question:

  • Where are they located (and will they come to you)? As mobility can sometimes be an issue, some elder care service providers may come to you (this option usually depends on the service). If this is the case, we recommend contacting them and asking about their service area. If it is not the case, consider the distance from your home to their facilities.
  • What are the added benefits and amenities? In addition to the services, some facilities will offer add-on benefits and amenities. If you're trying to decide, these sorts of details can often tip the scale one way or the other.
  • What is the staff like? It's important that you feel comfortable with the staff, whether it be nurses, doctors, aides, or whoever! You'll be spending a good deal of time with them. In this case, it's best to call for more information.
  • What is their website like? These days, every business needs an online presence. And the quality of that online presence is a good indication of the type of business they are. We recommend investigating the senior care services provider’s website thoroughly. Is it up to date? Is the information correct?
  • What are the facilities like? While this may be less important for certain senior care services (for instance, senior home care where the service provider comes to your loved one), where applicable, you should schedule a tour of the facilities to get a better idea of whether they are right for you and your loved one.
  • What does your loved one think? Your loved one who requires the elder care services provider should have a say in the decision, too. Make sure they are part of the process and that they understand that their opinion counts.
